story of the fingers

this is the story that i came out with for the kids at the kids camp.

Story of the fingers

One day, God made 5 fingers.

the thumb was the 1st and the strongest of them all. he do almost everything. he was really proud and loved to thumb the rest of the people down. one day, thumb got hurt and was bleeding. then, he realized he had 4 other fingers to comfort him.
that's why when we clasp our hand, our thumb is inside.

the 1st finger was easy going. he could get along the best with the thumb. that's why we use the 1st finger and the thumb to pick things up. however, the 1st finger lacks determination. when the thumb gets too bossy, he loses determination to work together as a team. God gave the 1st finger support - middle finger. God sent the middle finger to support the 1st finger like a friend. that's why went we hold a pen or pencil, it rest on the middle finger.

the ring finger is the most gentle nature. it's touch can heal. that's why we use the ring finger to remove makeup. sometimes, the ring finger is so nice and tends to be forgotten.

the pinky is the youngest and cutest. he was shy and scared. God gave pinky the ring finger to take care of him. that's why when u bend the pinky, the ring finger bends together with the pinky.

moral of the story
we have good and bad qualities. we can lift both good and bad qualities to god and He will use it to our good.

2 Cor 12:9-10 : My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong

waltz of leaves

This is inspired by the 7 fountains. every morning after breakfast, there would be a gentle breeze. blow thru the tiny leaves of yellow and green, they dance as the float down to the ground.

thought that was really romantic. like the leaves doing a waltz.
so beautiful!

p.s. should have thought of a more romantic name for this piece. oh wells.
